Lorrie Sullenberger presents fitness award

FREMONT, CA (KGO) -- On Monday, Captain Sully Sullenberger's wife helped a Fremont school celebrate excellence in physical education.

Lorrie Sullenberger presented the Fame Public Charter School with a check for $1,000.

The award is for leading the way in encouraging students to participate in physical activity, as part of the annual Governor's Challenge competition.

Mrs. Sullenberger is the governor's regional fitness ambassador.

The contest includes kids from kindergarten through high school.
